Visiting for the Eclipse

On Monday, April 8th from 1:38pm to 1:42pm, Waco will witness totality for approximately 4 minutes and 13 seconds. If you're visiting the Silos during this time, we have a few pointers to help you make the most of your visit.

Hours of Operation
Magnolia will be operating under our normal hours on Monday, April 8th.
Magnolia will pause all business activity between 1:30-1:45pm to allow our associates to have a chance to view this historic event.

Sweets & Treats
We encourage you to visit Magnolia Press or Silos Baking Co. to try one of our fantastic Eclipse-focused treats to celebrate the day!

  • Solar Cupcake: vanilla cake + buttercream icing topped with sprinkles
  • Lunar Cookie Pie: marshmallow cream sandwiched between soft graham cookies dipped in dark chocolate and topped with sprinkles
  • Milky Way Latter: caramel infused mocha, topped with whipped cream and sprinkles

Eclipse glasses will be available for sale in Magnolia Market and other on-site retailers. Please know that these are sold on a first-come, first-serve basis.

Special Event Parking
Our typical parking will be available. There is free street parking is available along 6th Street, 8th Street, and Webster Avenue. Additionally, there is a free lot available at the corner of 9th Street and Webster Avenue. Handicap spots are marked and located along 6th Street and 8th Street. Additionally, the Franklin Garage will be employee parking only, badge is required.

Please note, there are several Eclipse festivals and special events happening throughout the Waco area with attendance hitting record levels. Please plan your travels accordingly, allowing enough time to account for traffic. The City of Waco has expressed that overnight parking and camping is not permitted in public parking areas.
